We all get anxious this time of year, when Spring tickles us just so.
Weren't you tempted outdoors yesterday, your hands itching to pick up sticks and broken tree limbs? Tamp down the frost heave in the lawn?
We were desperate to heal the wounds of a hard, long, windy, winter.
Why is spring so welcome this year?
Snowdrops mark the beginning of the season for me.
I always know that my gardening hands can put down the knitting needles and pick up the rake, shovel and garden trowel.

footnote: Galanthus bulbs should be planted 3-4 inches deep in early autumn in fertile soil. They will thrive in sun or shade. Use in rock gardens, as an edging plant, or with wild abandon.
